Rice, Noodles and Rice Cakes

Rather confusingly, this thick and bouncy wheat flour noodle comes from Japan, but is used in some Chinese influenced Korean dishes, like the ‘black bean noodles’ and ‘spicy seafood noodle soup’. They have a very springy texture and can be bought ready made in single portion vacuum packed bags in Asian stores, so they are very quick to cook.
